Connecting isolated circuits?

Hello!

Supposing I have two circuits with isolated grounds, which would be the best way to control whether their grounds are connected? I imagine a Mosfet with DS between grounds could make that possible, but I am afraid that the DS voltage might be too high for some reason and could damage the MOSFET. I would also have to have Gate Drive referenced from the source, but this is not that much of a problem...

A relay would be better. The MOSFET would not truly isolate them since there is always leakage.

What problem are you trying to solve? I have never heard of anyone wanting such a thing.
