Can someone please confirm what the function of the resistor on the collector and resistor on the emitter are for. I have a test tomorrow and I think it's coming up. In the picture it's r 3 and r4
Thanks very much

Hi,

The emitter resistor is there to improve linearity and thus total harmonic distortion. There is also a bias improvement. It also helps to stabilize the circuit gain because it provides some negative feedback.
Can you figure out why any or all of these things improve after doing an analysis or at least using a simulator? If you want to understand this you should look into it.
