It's burnt for sure. Won't be helping. The heatsink pop-riveted the 7805 is my work.

 

There's been lot of ways to control gas fuelling mechanically. The BLOS mixer is a favourite - piloted by the manifold vacuum - and there's gas carbs (IMPCO) too.
