Circuitscribe touch controls

I am a mechatronics student working on my final project.
i have a few questions about using circuitscribe to design a drawable touch based control panel.
i am required to use a picaxe microcontroller i am only really worried about the signaling capabilities of the ink when combined with a finger as the bridge between two traces. I know the skin has Megaohm resistance values so it would be kinda tricky to get a signal between them. There is a lot more than this involved in my project so i can go into greater detail in a few days. any help or related info would be helpful.
