Circuit required, to convert one rotary encoder behavior into another

Have you connected the new encoder to see if it works as is?

If not, than an inverter gate on each output may do the trick.
I can do that. I think what will happen is that only every other click will work. I am also a little concerned if the board can handle the constant load. In the original encoder there is a pulse and then it goes to zero (no load). In the new encoder every other click will have a load on it ( as far as I can tell ). I wouldn't be happy if my new hobby blows up the drier :) All that said I probably can try.

My apologies to all as I tied this wrong up. I searched for the encoder. With the correct shaft size and indents they are not available. I.searched for 2 weeks. I also replaced the board completely with a new.board and it's.working. This thread is.meant as.hardware hacking and learning about.circuit.to.retrofit the new.wheel into.the.old.circuit.board.and.see.if.It.works.sorry for the typos. I am outside on phone
