I was just thinking; he's got one.
Mid 80's Kawasaki 750 GPZ. Cafe racer style.

Got it off a brothers associate for $125 who had to get rid of all his stuff and get out of town quick with no questions asked.

Title cleared and that was that.

Its beat up and rough, previous owner raced it and tipped it over a bunch of times before I got it, but irt still ran great the last time I had it out. :D

Really I don't care where threads go. I just don't play guitar and its winter so I cant play with the motorcycle either. :D:(
What? I did 3 years in Indianapolis on a Honda 160. There were 2 days that I couldn't use the bike: 6 inches of new snow with a layer of ice under it and a freezing rain that took me to hypothermia in about 3 miles. Then again, a North Dakota winter is my idea of some kind of Hell.

Minnesota and North Dakota are not the same cold as other states. I grew up there and now in Western PA which I view as Mid-South. It rarely gets below zero here. In North Dakota, you can bet on daily highs still in negative temps most of January with night time lows of -20 to -45 F. Not even fun to snowmobile let alone motorcycling weather.

My mom always used to say she liked living there because you could really see the four seasons. I would always reply, "too bad three of them were winter".

I can see I was right calling a North Dakota winter some kind of Hell. Fifty miles per hour in temperatures below zero F equals a wind chill that is beyond my imagination. The lowest I have ever seen is 17 F and you can see how far I ran to get a way from that!

No, no, no. As I remember you were a fighting 240 back then. If your at 260 that would be me at 200 and my 1300cc or Brownouts ride is just right.

Here, here! (or is it Hear, hear!)

I was wondering if I had jumped into a different thread entirely.

We just got back from a couple weeks in the Virgin Islands (which was fabulous!). The gasoline prices there (on St. John) was $4.43/gal and on St. Thomas it varied quite a bit, but everything I saw was well above $4/gal. In Denver on the drive home we saw it as low as $2.27/gal and I suspect that it is near or perhaps even below $2/gal at the usual low-cost outlets.

I can't help but chuckle at all the grief I took a year or so ago when gas was pushing the $4/range nationally and I said that I fully expected it to go back below $3/gal and that I would not be at all surprised if it went below $2/gal for a bit.
So when we went out the next day (22Dec?) it was $1.97/gal in a few places and has been dropping pretty steadily since. Today most places were below $1.80 and we saw one place that was $1.69. There are a couple of stores further south that routinely beat the low-priced ones up north by about ten cents.

With the cold snap here, I needed some heat in the garage, and went to the local station to buy kerosene: $4.50 a gallon. At Crap*Mart, it's $10.47 a gallon. Gougers!

Went into town today and gas is between $1.629/gal and $1.699/gal most places, though I saw it as high as $1.779/gal up north.

Not a fun time of year to be making a drive like that. Hope the weather holds out for you. Are you coming over Rawlins?

No, I'm not driving all the way!
I'm flying into Orlando for a week at Disney World with trips to Tampa and the space center then driving down to the Keys for a week of beaches and fishing. I'm taking the whole family so I rented a full size SUV. Cheap gas means one extra fishing day.

The expected temperatures sound like good pool and drinking weather. That week will be perfect if the Ducks win on Monday.

It's funny what causes me to like or dislike a football team. I like the Ducks for a few reasons, one of which is that when they came to Knoxville two years ago, the first Oregon fan I saw was wearing a jersey that said, "We hate Kiffen, too." Then, there were three Oregonians behind us doing the OOOOO thing, but when they heard 100,000 of us Vols fans crank it up, one of them said, "Man, the SEC rocks!"
