I am using Safari on an iPhone 6. I cannot view any PDF files attached to a post. A new window opens, it looks like a "download" window flashes by, and finally a grey screen appears. I cannot do anything on this screen, except close it.

I can read PDFs from another site, if that is your question? For example, in the thread Selling my inventory, I cannot view any of the files posted. However, the link from this institution to a sample PDF file, it works fine.

Summary, on AAC and the blue theme with my iPhone 6 running IOS 8.4.1, I can not view PDF files. I can from other sites.

The textbooks are available for download as PDF files. The index page for each volume has a link to the "PDF Version" at the bottom of the sidebar. I'm using the orange theme on a desktop PC, so the link may be harder to find if you're using the blue theme on a smartphone.

On the textbooks index page there is a chapter list on the right.
Almost on the bottom of the page you will see "PDF verion"in orange:

PS if the page is to small the right side index will not show.

 

Ok, I can see the textbook PDF.

 

There is a significant difference between the PDF links in a post versus the link for the textbook. The textbook link refers to an actual pdf file; the post link constructs a link from apparently the pdf file name appended by some random digits.

Hey @djsfantasi , I have found a solution for this. I am only able to test on the iOS Simulator, but it seems to be working as it should now.

But wait! There's more. If I go back to the original post, the undesirable behavior returns.

If I copy and paste the link, it works. But if I click on a link in a post, I get a grey page.
