im using a gate driver fan7382.
stated in its fan 7382 datasheet Output drivers 350mA/650mA Sourcing/Sinking Current Driving Capability for Both Channels
i am connecting output from the optocoupler 6n137 to the driver via a NPN transistor 2n2222
the transistor collector output will be connected to the input driver.
does that mean my collector current have to be 350mA/650mA to enable for my driver to have an output? because apparently i cannot get any output from my gate drive low out and high out

No, the driver output comes from the Vb input voltage. The Hin and Lin only need to be at a "logic" level. Why use the opto and transistor with this? The driver itself provides isolation (up to 600V, from the data sheet) between the driver and the high voltage side.

hi. thankyou for the input. i already managed to rectify my problem.
much apreacited! :)
