I have one of these 1 tube receivers (only one active device). However, it did require two batteries, one for filament, one for plate. That said, one battery could probable have been configured to provide both voltages with proper resistor divider (filament took only ~50ma)

A 1625 has an Anode cap,,so it must be a different valve type..?
