I have what I would consider a medium power application, about 300mA of current. The only transistors I have access to right now that I can find have a maximum current rating of 200 mA. But I recently got some MC34151 MOSFET drivers which are listed at 1.5A totem pole current, 1A "diode clamp current (drive output to Vcc)." So by my understanding, it can handle 1A or more of current? Is that a continuous rating? Could I use that to drive a 300mA LED string using a PWM signal from a microcontroller? I attached the datasheet I have for it.
