can I replace a J107 component?

Hi,

Apologies, I’m not an expert in electronics, hence coming here for some expert help. My other half burnt a component on a chip board for a model railway decoder, however, the chip was rather expensive. The part burnt was coded J107 which is a transistor from what I can tell. Firstly, is it repairable if I replace this part? Secondly, is there another code for it? The internet shows J107 can be bought but any website explaining transistors doesn’t tell me what J107 means.

Thank you in advance.
Rachel
