I'm doing a Stock EV conversion on a 1984 Jeep CJ-7.

Anyway, working with all things CAN Bus and need to back trace and such. I'm using a Rigol DC1054Z scope.

Can someone walk me through the setup steps for how to best read and decode my CAN BUS?

I'm fairly new to the scope so treat me that way please.

I've got a single network and I made a CAN BUS Hub that's properly terminated (120ohm at both ends) - haven't mounted it yet, it ain't pretty but it works:


Anyway, need to know how to best set up my scope to read and decode all this data.

Don't think that scope decodes CAN Bus.

An inexpensive option that might work for you.
