I have two digital camera lithium ion batteries. I currently switch them between the camera and the charger at the end of every day. Is this good or bad?

Here's a link with a lot of information.

Awsome link that I refer people to all the time. The short and sweet of it is, L-Ion batteries work best and last longest when they are not fully discharged before charging, and not fully recharged. This is the exact opposite of what we used to do with NiCad rechargeable batteries for longest life and best performace. Basically, if you're not completely draining the batteries before putting them on the charger, you're doing OK. But don't take my word for it: go to the link and find the charging charts.
