Hello everybody,

i want to test buck converter. i know pin sw is switching pin. but when i tried to check the waveform using my oscilloscope i am not getting any oscillations. i dont know if i am doing it right. i have set the oscilloscope 5v/div and 10us also tried 10ms.

fp7103 is the chip. i have not connected any output load. just gave input voltage 8v.

It needs a load.

 

When a switching regulator reaches it's specified voltage output with no load it has to stop or the output would go above the control voltage. That's why it needs a load if you want to see its switching operation.
