Hi all,

I am working on boost converter. I get Vout=350V in open loop case but when I add PID contol loop I get output around 170V which is same as input voltage Vin=170V. Blue->open loop output voltage waveform and yellow-> closed loop output voltage waveform.
Can somebody help me out with this.Waveforms.jpg

Hello,

If your controller is not designed right it will cut the output too much, it's as simple as that.
You cant expect to get the full open loop voltage out though as a controller will always cut some so that iit can regulate the output. The amount of cut depends on a lot of things, but of course has a lot to do with the controller design.
