In Boston's suburbs it was -15F over the weekend and snowy. Now it's approaching 50F and rainy. Our 14" of snow is fast disappearing.
I can remember staying at my uncle's farm in the late 1950's, with no indoor plumbing. Using a piece of newspaper set on fire, down the hole before sitting down to go. Couldn't wait to get back to the city.-3 degrees here in kansas this morning -15 wind chill, only 2 inches of snow thankfully. speaking of thanks, THANK GOD FOR INDOOR PLUMBING!
It is the topmost-leftmost key, under ESC.What's your key combination for the degree symbol?
I played with this at some length on my laptop last year and without a numeric keypad it just doesn't seem to work -- even when enabling and using the "keypad" on the laptop keyboard that overrides the 7,0,/,M region of keys. You don't need a + button. Just hold the alt key, enter 167, and release the alt key. º
We have had one street person fatality, cars block heaters are plugged in if kept outside. How is that even possible? How long can someone survive outside in such weather?
Minor conversion error, 40°F (4°C).We got well over a foot of snow on Saturday after being nice, but somewhat cold, the several days prior. We've been running unseasonably warm around here (but not at all out of line with historical variations) with numerous days in the 65°F (18°C) range. And, as is not uncommon, with the next day being 40°F (22°C) or more colder.
In 1982 Denver got 35" of snow on Christmas Eve and forced the closing of Stapleton International Airport for the first time in over 30 years. In 1985 Christmas Eve was ~70°F.
I have yet to get that to work on a win7 box, everything prior to that is no problem. If you know a way to activate it on a 7 box let me in on it. searching didn't help. You don't need a + button. Just hold the alt key, enter 167, and release the alt key. º
I'm assuming you are talking about the -53°C in Canada? How is that even possible? How long can someone survive outside in such weather?
From a scale of 1 to Apocalypse, how serious is this kind of weather?
Are really claiming that a 40°F drop from 65°F to 25°F is only a drop of 4°C?Minor conversion error, 40°F (4°C).
It works just fine on a Win7 box, as long as your keyboard has a dedicated number pad.I have yet to get that to work on a win7 box, everything prior to that is no problem. If you know a way to activate it on a 7 box let me in on it. searching didn't help.
