Hi everyone,
I'm trying to build a circuit to power a hard disk BLDC motor. I found some online circuits and built it (attached schematic) but it's not working (the motor doesn't spin). I'm getting the exact same input voltage (12v) across all output terminals connected to the motor!! (With or without the optional speed control circuit).
Any suggestions?
This is the link to the circuit video:

A BLDC (Brushless DC Motor) will not run off dc. It is a misnomer.
The term refers to the combination a permanent magnet synchronous motor (which is an AC motor) and an inverter.

You're absolutely right, I missed it. I got rid of the rectifying circuit and fed with 12v AC and it's running fine now, thanks.
I still need to clarify one last point, the speed control part seems to have no effect what so ever... any suggestion is appreciated..
Thanks again
