I am a student and doing a project for a windmil.

Now i want to measure the voltage and current after the rectifier This voltage can be between average 50 V DC and about average 10 A.

What is the best way to meausure this with a ic? I know that linear has chips to do this but is this the best way?

 

I found something like a LTC2946. This measures up to 100V dc. But i don't understand how to set it up. I have looked in the datasheet and found near the end of the document a 'typical applications' part. can i follow those guidelines? the other question is how does this chip the LTC2946 measures current?

So seeying in the datasheet it says i need a 0.02 resistor?
