Eggnog is a beverage that's been consume by spanish-speaking people for ages. In fact, it's been popular in european countries since the middle ages. There are monasteries and convents that have manufactured and sold it for centuries. Down here we call it "rompope"

There are many drinks similar to eggnog.

I used to drink Bols Advocaat, a Dutch concoction made with eggs and brandy.
(advocaat means avocado and also lawyer in Dutch, same as avocat in French.)
