i tried to find the one refered to me about the BCD Counter but can't. I just don't know my instructor required us to do the wiring diagram of the bcd counter using relay switches instead of 555 timer. we're done with the wiring diagram of the differentiation-up (relay) but the binary counter and the 7 segment's display we're only given with relay logics. he said that upon connecting the dif-up to the binary counter and the 7 segment display you'll end up with the bcd counter. eeeh... dunno how... i badly need help.

big thanks!:)

You can't use a 555, it is analog with a digital output. You need to come up with a Set Reset Flip Flop using relays, then move on to a Master Slave Flip Flop. With those two functions it can be done, though adding a JK function does clean it up, and allow you to steal the logic diagram off of the chip.

You are in the world of digital, think gates.

Hint:

Wikipedia article on Relay Logic...

Another hint:

Draw what you want using simple gates.
