Hello guys,

First of all thank you for reading my post.

I am aiming to build a battery charge indicator with external LEDs that pulse red when charging and then switch to a solid state of green when charging is complete.

I have found some basic charge indicators online that are ideal but non seem to be able to add external LED's.

If anyone can help or point me in the right direction it would be greatly appreciated.

(The link below shows a basic indicator that i am talking about)

hi Mark,
Welcome to AAC,
That banggood LED indicator is OK , but as you say adding LED's to it would be difficult.
Do you have any electronic building tools/skills.?

Hello Eric,

yes i have some tools and some basic knowledge. I am studying a HNC at the moment and did A level electronics in college a fair few years ago so its all a bit rusty.

Thanks,

Mark

Thanks again for your replies,

Yes thats similar to what i have already found.

Could a solution be as simple as a pulsing LED to be going permanently until the indicator reaches 100% then through an AND gate activates the green solid state?

Thanks,

Mark

hi,
Can you post details of the project, battery voltage and type, charger specification etc.
E

Ref the Arduino, it can be done that way if you prefer.
