Correcting the switch is easy. Simply rotate the switch 180° (assuming that there is no indent to prevent you from rotating it).
The pot is correct the way you have it drawn. Rotating the shaft clockwise will move the slider (B) away from (C) toward (A) thus increasing the resistance. It is good practice to connect the unused terminal (A) to the slider (B).
