Sorry for replying to an old thread. I thought the subject was so similar it made sense to reply to the old thread. I am trying to average and not sum 2ea. 0-5v analog signals from 2 Mass Air Flow MAF sensors. The sensors have 3 wires in this case and not 4: Ground, 5v and signal back to the ECU. The ECU will be recalibrated for different airflow based on 2 MAFs versus 1 so that isn't an issue. Just wondering if the circuit suggested for the 4 wire MAFs could e used by just supplying 12v to the circuit from the ECu supply versus the MAF supply?

Thanks,
John

hi JR,
Welcome to AAC.

Depends. Do the sensors require a 5 volt supply or a 12 volt supply?
SG
They take 5 volt supply. I was wondering if I could just take the proposed circuit and feed the LM358 from the 12v+ powering the ECU instead of the MAF as the drawing shows?

Thanks,
John

1 question what is the purpose of the 2nd LM358 just connected to the sensor ground? Other sensors use the same ground. Will it interfere with those?
Thanks,
John
