Another beef with the new programming,
exemplified in this thread, though I have noticed others suffering as well.

It has long been convention to use the @ symbol to address a particular member in countless forums across the net.

The new format here automatically changes this to some sort of hyperlink and even replaces the tags if they are manually removed.

Have you clicked it? I pulls up your profile so you can easily PM the individual. Seems more like a feature, not a bug.

It also alerts the user that they were mentioned in a post. I personally find it very handy.
