Hi alec its just for education, i hav an assignment on aeds and want to see the workings

 

Google images search for "Automated external defibrillator schematic" yields some basic schematics (100% component level as thats typically not something for general public consumption) but functional block overview which should be more than sufficient for your needs..

I have no clue bout this circuit, if this is an aed surly there should be capacitors in series with diodes reversed across them, i cant locate them

You mean you have never seen the "Wah-wah" effect pedal on an AED?

Surely this person isn't asking for someone to explain to what seems to be a layman the complete workings/functional breakdown of a complex schematic are they?

Yeah. This is definitely not the place for DIY if it needs to be functional.

But how exactly do you need to stimulate the heart? What kind of pulse would be required? That would certainly help in designing a circuit.
