It appears my wife's phonograph has blown a fuse. I thought I had ordered the proper replacement but what I recieved is significantly larger. Can I tell my wife that the size not matter or do I need a different fuse? Thanks!

 

The fuse size does not matter – in fact the spacings between the solder holes may accommodate the longer fuse.

However, if the fault that caused the original fuse to operate is still present, then your new fuse will suffer the same fate.
