HI,
I just bought a very cheap ultrasonic cleaner which professes to work at "45000 hz"
When I run it , it sounds like a buzzer, When I turn it off it sounds like some type of motor is winding down to a stop.
I asked the vendor if the unit actually had an ultrasonic transducer in it and he replied "no."

Before pulling the unit apart, im asking anyone on all about circuits if they have heard of an ultrasonic cleaner that does not use a transducer.

Well, are there Fake ultrasonic cleaners, or no?
thanks

If something has value, there will be a fake version of it somewhere. How cheap is cheap? You can get the real thing for less than $100 if you only need a small one.

Something to keep in mind; I bought mine a while ago and some of the reviews indicated that the thermostat didn't work and it kept heating right past the temperature you set it to. In reality, the transducers themselves generate a lot of heat and they heat up the cleaning solution even without the burner turned on, so if you're using something flammable you do need to keep an eye on the temp even if you have the heat turned off. Just something to keep in mind while you're reading reviews.

It is possible you are hearing an oscillator used in a voltage boosting circuit rather than the ultrasonic output.

Many vendors have no clue about the products they sell.

It might be fake or might not. Does it do the job you bought it for?

Sometimes the transformer in an ultrasonic cleaner vibrates at both the oscillation frequency and also the mains frequency, if the supply is not well filtered. That could explain the buzz.
