Hi, sometime i'm planning on building a robot using an arduino microcontroller. I'm wondering ifit's possible to program in voice commands so I can tell it what to do.

Sure, you may need external IC's, not sure about the arduino. I've just started reading this book and I've been pretty impressed with it. Its actually kinda detailed for an arduino.

The 3 pack arduino special at the bottom is pretty good too. If your really new I recommend Make : Electronics. Its new and super easy for beginners. I'd say ages 14 and up. I'm coming from the software side to the hardware side and it helped explain a lot.
