Crap, I ordered from JLC like hours before I read the news that tariffs are reduced to 10% on May 14. Ug.

What types of boards do you usually purchase from JLC?

 

Technically JLCPCB seems to always needed an identifier for receiver but before nobody was asking or looking . Looking at a typical DHL tracking from China to here, I (my specific name) was never listed directly as a receiver. JCLPCB/DHL seems to have been using slight of hand and used something I can't find (maybe Mr. payola) as the official receiver. I only know the tracking number/waybill

I’ve never heard of such a situation before. As far as I know, our company works with DHL, UPS, and FedEx, and the consignee information must always follow the customer’s instructions.

 

Right now it looks as if JLC is adding a 60% markup for U.S. tariff charges.

Yes, I know that. But I like to support the people/companies who provide free and good CAD software.
And for some projects which I have consulted for, I have downloaded the Gerbers from EasyEDA and my customer has sent them to their favorite board house.

 

I still use Eagle/FUSION 360 because I get the Premium License for Commercial use at half price and use the Autodesk CAD + CAM tools for 3D printing.

I know the program fairly well and I trust it. Trust is priceless.
