Years ago we did a test in the college electronics lab of the ordinary #14 brown plastic insulated zip cord. If the speaker could reproduce a frequency of two MEGAHERTZ (2,000,000Hz) and IF the amplifier could deliver it, there would be some phase shift distortion. But since not even CDs can deliver two Megahertz (2,000,000Hz) audio, it should not be a problem for most folks. It evidently depends on the frequency response of one's amplifier and speakers. And how much money one has to waste.
But like the song goes: "Would you walk away from a fool and his money." It seems some would not.
"It ain't me, It ain't me, I ain't no fortunate one." CCR, Fortunate Son.

Inverse RIAA must attenuate line-level signals or they'll overload the phono preamp, particularly for moving-coil inputs. But for that price, it's disappointing that they don't include specs for how well it matches the RIAA curve, input and output impedances, or attenuation at some reference frequency.
