Hello.
I know peanuts about first-person-view FPV googles. Do you know which goggles have wired NTSC composite video input jack, built in LCD display, no smart phone shoehorned in, no wifi needed ?

Is there a 'special' name for that kind of goggles ?

Most assuredly not. It's designed to receive video from a drone via RF.

There aren't many "fly by wire" drones.

What might work for you is a view finder from an old (huge) video camera. Some of these have a miniature CRT with a right-angle mirror and magnifier. Back in the dark ages I had one that I'd use to watch TV in bed.

Or.... I just saw these yesterday at AliExpress – miniature CRT monitors.

Thanks, Jon. The little I learned is :

- FPV first-person-view goggles do have their display built-in, 3" to 4 "; few have selectable video input regardless of wifi or whatever wireless signal reception.
- VR virtual-reality goggles are the ones you must insert a smart phone in but how the signal gets to the phone I do not know if wifi or other and seems show partitioned halved images asking for applications.

The monitors/displays/tvs in the market other than the ones on your links above do accept CVBS but do not fit in goggles  Link on post #2 shows a goggle?-something but chinese describe nothing.

There is this gadget... ---> https://www.adafruit.com/product/913 ? may fit in goggles but is 4:3 ratio...

Are you wanting to get an FPV drone or do you want to repurpose FPV goggles for something else?
