I would thought that it would be better to see if it leaks before putting the tools away.Touche!
I'm going to work on replacing the radiator in my van today. One hour in and I only have 2 pipes left to remove. It's going well. Nothing seems horribly stuck so I can't get it loose. This reminds me of a phrase that I have never heard from anybody under 30 years old: "I'm going to work".
Update: 4 hours later and all I have to do is put the tools away, add water, and see if it leaks.
No. A faulty repair will not show itself until all the tools are away and the company comes over.I would thought that it would be better to see if it leaks before putting the tools away.![]()
Well, this car is automatic, systematic, hydromatic,Hydromatic
Other methods work better. If I had put antifreeze in it immediately, that would assure a leak, so I ran it with just water for the rest of the day. A mile and a half to just barely open the thermostat, then a complete cool down, and three hours later I topped off the water and did forty minutes for a good heat soak. It's on the back porch right now. Absolutely perfect! Not a spare drop anywhere! And, tomorrow it gets antifreeze. I'll just run it a half a mile to get the particles circulating before I dump the water.I would thought that it would be better to see if it leaks before putting the tools away.![]()
