People will complain about anything these days. And if that's not enough for you - people will sue for anything these days. Political correctness has brought nothing good. I'm Italian. And I LOVE a good Italian joke. I'm not offended. I wasn't offended when a black young man called me a "Cracker". In fact, he was threatening to hit me with a serving spoon. I looked him dead in the eye, glanced up at the spoon for a moment, then back into his eye and said "You're going to need a bigger spoon." I could have used the N word. But that would have escalated things. I pondered telling him that "Crackers" were slave masters. Then ask him if he thought I was his master. But I figured it would be enough to respond as I did. Aside from an angry look from the young man all was passed and forgotten. People LOOK for things to be offended by.
This evening I went to the store. Cutting through the self check-out a woman moved her cart to prevent me from entering the store that way. She said I was supposed to enter THAT way, as she pointed to the other side. I was going to the frozen isle right behind the self check-out. No need to wander around the store for six to 10 minutes. Some people are self appointed Karen's. Those of you who know me know I can't stand stupidity. It irritates the heck out of me. I just pushed her cart out of the way and she GASPED. {shaking my head}
