Apple’s New iPhone Calculator is Missing the Most Important Button
I’m also happy the iPad finally got its own Calculator app, but I do have one bone to pick with Apple. My guess is many of you felt the same way the first time you tried using your iPhone’s calculator after updating to iOS 18. What happened to the “C” (Clear) button? Why did Apple remove it? We’ve been using calculators the same way forever. Why change now?
The C button is a relic of old calculator chips where the C button input cleared a hardware register but why change it to a number by number backspace/erase function?

I frequently get the impression that OS and app programmers don't actually get a panel of end users (with a range of computer literacy) to test drive 'updated' or 'improved' software before unleashing it on the general public.
