Takebe’s team tested the idea on pigs by giving them enemas of a type of fluid called a perfluorocarbon, which can hold high levels of oxygen. Such fluids have been investigated as a way of breathing liquid, and are already used to help protect the lungs of premature babies, so are likely to be non-toxic when used in this novel way, says Takebe.

Hide the tiger?

https://finance.yahoo.com/news/houston-tiger-being-secretly-passed-173839809.html
Houston Police Commander Ron Borza has said that he believes that the missing tiger in his city is being passed around safe houses.

While they haven’t located the tiger, Mr Borza stated that he thinks it has been passed around six to eight times this week, and that the big cat is still somewhere in the Houston area, but could also be out of the country by now.

“I don't think it's out of Houston yet, maybe out of the county, but I don't think so,” Mr Borza said. “I think it's still there in Houston.”

Brawl leads to 3 men freefalling 8 stories down elevator shaft in apartment building
Authorities say the men were involved in a fight on the eighth floor of the south building.

“The steel elevator door, when you push the button the door opens, they broke through that door and there was no elevator there so they just fell eight floors to the bottom,” said Upper Merion Police Lt. Al Elverson.

Not those three men falling down the shaft.
