If they were showing affection for one another at work or if they were bringing up intimate details of her personal relationship, they should have been fired Just like a hetero couple could have been fired for the same reasons.

Where I used to work you were not permitted to be married to subordinate. But that didn't stop our district president when he hired his gay wife. They were both fired immediately after that. He tried the same thing when he was in Louisiana he was told he could not hire his wife as it was against policy so the wife had to quit. They moved to our Salt Lake office. He tried the same thing and the wife had to quit. They moved to Detroit, same thing again. I guess Pittsburgh was the last straw. The company fired them both.

IMHO he company was very tolerant. They gave him PLENTY of chances. Especially surprising since upper management and ownership was all Mormon.

BUCHAREST, Romania (AP) — A Romanian court has rejected a man’s claim that he’s alive, after he was officially registered as deceased.

Today's ruling is final, and Mr Reliu will officially remain dead, a court spokeswoman said Friday.

I want to know if a person is officially dead can they be arrested for punching a judge in the face.
Late update.

The 63-year-old cook succeeded on his second try to convince judges in the northeastern town of Barlad of his continued existence. Reliu lost the first appeal to overturn his death certificate in March because he appealed too late

Refusing to exist with only a "living dead" status, Reliu then turned to the court in Barlad, his birthplace.

Despite the new court ruling he is not completely out of the woods, since anyone doubting the truth of his existence can appeal the court's ruling within 30 days.

The King Soopers on 35th Avenue near Greeley West High School will no longer stock its Tide Pods near the colorful candy following recent concern.

Store management on Sunday removed an aisle end cap stocked with the bright, aromatic detergent packs and other laundry items that was connected to an aisle filled with popcorn, chocolate bars, M&M’s, Reese’s and other delicious goodies — which Tide Pods are not supposed to be.

Lured by an invite to do a presentation on Bitcoin, a trader only known as Andrew got drugged, kidnapped, and tortured by a group of people over his Bitcoin holdings, according to local media citing police reports.
...
Earlier this month Bitcoinist reported on another assault case where a young man got waterboarded and waxed to reveal his crypto-wallet password.

The classic $5 Wrench Attack to security.

More first world problems.

My question would be why this spoiled brat needs $129 basketball shoes. I don't car how much money I had, I would not be buying my daughter $129 basketball shoes. The only way she would be getting them is spending money she earned. and even then I would likely flick her ears for being so stupid as to spend $129 for a pair of shoes that cost $1.29 to manufacture.

I wear $200 running shoes. Mizuno is my shoe of choice.

Without them, I'd not be able to walk after my daily runs. They make that much of a difference.

OTOH, I doubt the 9 y.o. actually intended to play basketball in them.

You are paying for the quality of the shoe. Not for a name that is stamped on it. There is a difference.
