Markle would be called "HRH Princess Henry" (Henry is Harry's real name).
Princess Henry? On second thought, Duchess Meghan is fine with us.

I have heard that in Lapland thousands of reindeer are culled every year probably to prevent overgrazing of limited pasture land. It's regretable that so many reindeer are killed by freight trains in Norway but perhaps it balances out in the long run and less culling would occur. All the same I think some sort of barrier would be preferable.

A barrier built high enough they couldn't jump would only redirect the reindeer to areas where there is no barrier. That moves the herd to areas that have egress, namely the railroad crossing used by vehicular traffic. Trains don't slow down there either ... so whether it's an occupied car or a reindeer, there will be deaths.

[sarcasm]Maybe you can convince the government to start a reindeer education program that teaches the reindeer to look both ways before crossing the railroad tracks. [/sarcasm]

This is sad indeed:

They were probably on their way to a casting call for positions open for something going on the 25th next month.

The Fair Work Commission last week ruled a Perth electrician was fairly sacked from his job for playing golf instead of being at work, allegedly on more than 140 different occasions over two years.

But how did he get away with playing hooky for so long?

It turned out the man had concealed his whereabouts during office hours by storing his personal digital assistant, a phone-like device that has a GPS inside, in an empty Twisties packet.

Oh, man... how did they know this was exactly what I wanted to buy on cyber-monday???:

KFC, the fast-food chain that inexplicably released a romance novel on Mother’s Day, and debuted its own KFC-flavored nail polish in Hong Kong, is now offering one lucky fan the opportunity to purchase a $10,000 “Internet Escape Pod” ahead of Cyber Monday.

It never ceases to amaze me the creativity of card cheaters:

Police raiding a Berlin restaurant have discovered playing cards which had been laced with a radioactive substance.
Detectives believe players could wear a hidden detector on their bodies allowing them to recognise certain cards, giving them an advantage.

My memory goes back WAY farther than that, read, reel-to-reel and 8 track.

I am old enough but never knew the relationship. Nor do I get this now.

he only thing I am thinking is both are obsolete. But that can be a number of any two items.

Wow... I had never heard of that device. I just looked it up in Wikipedia, and it's fascinating...

I do remember reading about these. Never used them. I have used paper tape and punch cards.

I find the relationship really stupid. Sorry.

“After 9/11, a bunch of us went to Krispy Kreme,” he recalled. “We just had to get out and we needed calories. And I’m at the drive thru and the woman says, ‘May I take your order?’ And I said, give us a second, we haven’t decided yet.’ And this male voice came on and said, ‘Tell me when you’re done.’ And I said, ‘Oh, you changed your voice!’ And she came back and said, ‘Yes I did, now you change yours.’

"I ordered a dozen glazed donuts like Porky Pig… I pull to the next window and she gives me three dozen donuts. I said, ‘I don’t think you quite understood what I said.’ And she said, ‘We understood everything you said. First time we laughed in a couple of days. We needed this laugh. Thank you very much. They’re on us.’ I turned to my friends and said, ‘Want to go to a Porsche dealer next?’”
