A man on a Qantas flight from Melbourne to Perth, Australia, decided to check an unconventional (but totally necessary) item as his luggage: a single can of Emu Export

I was going through airport security for one of my trips down to Cozumel for SCUBA diving. I always carried on my gear (tank and weights were supplied by the shop in Cozumel) . I had completely forgotten about my knife clipped to my BC (bouyancy compensater ) vest. This was well before 9/11 so no big deal. I was just asked to check the knife. I had already checked my other bag so they placed the knife in a small box. Figuring with the layover in Houston and the tiny airport in Cozumel, it would be the last I saw of my knife.

I got to the luggage check and pick up up other bag, shortly after here comes the little box on the luggage belt. I was amazed.

Regardless of what the laws of mathematics state around breaking into end-to-end encryption, the Australian government is determined to bring in laws that go against them, with the Prime Minister of Australia telling ZDNet that the laws produced in Canberra are able to trump the laws of mathematics

"The laws of Australia prevail in Australia, I can assure you of that," he said on Friday. "The laws of mathematics are very commendable, but the only law that applies in Australia is the law of Australia."
Good luck with that.

"Inside the church grounds, along one of its fortification walls, is a small building with a room inside barely larger than a pantry. For 300 years, couples whose marriages were on the rocks would find themselves here, locked away for up to six weeks by the local bishop in hope that they would iron out their problems and avert a divorce. It may sound like a nightmare – but records show that this ‘marital prison’ was rather effective."
