Missouri Sheriff Spent Taxpayer Money on Beer, Cigarettes and 76 Hams

Using the Walmart credit card, the auditor said the office purchased:
  • 46 hams on December 17, 2019, for $1,085.
  • 15 TVs on Nov. 5, 2020 for $1,770.
  • $850 on a separate occasion in “questionable items” including scented oil air fresheners, soda, energy drinks, sports drinks, cigarettes, beer, a toy, personal grooming tools, barbeque seasoning rubs, and lotion, skin cleaners, and other beauty items.
  • Another $744 on digital and game cameras, a vehicle Global Positioning System unit, a Compact Disc player, speakers, and multiple data storage drives.

The Office allegedly bought an additional 30 hams on Dec. 15, 2020, by check, the auditor said. It also reported that sheriff’s office personnel made $1,103 in purchases via check that weren't specified.

What? I can’t use the credit card issued to me? It was a mistake, I thought it was mine.

No really we all were held to rules. Nothing over 1,000 without pre authorization from the auditor. They would have removed the card had I not obeyed the rules.

According to the source, one of the participants on the mid-September call confessed that his cat had jumped on the keyboard and deleted the server profiles while he was reviewing them. Or at least that's what he claimed. The CIO, Kurt DelBene, also the VA's assistant secretary for information and technology, reportedly responded with a witty remark: "This is why I have a dog."

A U.K. University Will Confer a New Title: A Master’s Degree in the Occult
Coursework will include the study of Western dragons in lore, literature and art; archaeology theory; the depiction of women in the Middle Ages; the practice of deception and illusion; and the philosophy of psychedelics. Through the lenses of Jewish, Christian and Islamic traditions, lecturers will explore how magic has influenced society and science.

Christina Oakley Harrington, a retired academic of medieval history and the founder of Treadwell’s, a London bookstore specializing in literature on magic and spiritualism, said that many witches she knew were talking about the degree program, announced last week, and were thinking about enrolling.

If you Google “432 Hz”, you will find a tremendous number of articles and YouTube videos about the tuning A = 432 Hz and its presumed healing and soothing properties. If you dig a little bit deeper, you will also find an “explanation” of this phenomenon. Presumably, the 432 Hz tuning is in some way tuned to the vibrations of nature itself, whereas the 440 Hz tuning was introduced by Joseph Goebbels, the Nazi minister of propaganda.

Man, I hate banks and their bean counting employees:

He further stated: "On that day I skipped breakfast and only had 1 coffee in the morning. For lunch I had 1 sandwich with a drink and 1 coffee in the restaurant, and took another coffee back to the office with me and had the second sandwich in the afternoon… which also served as my dinner."
Mr Fekete told Citi: "All my expenses are within the €100 daily allowance. Could you please outline what your concern is as I don't think I have to justify my eating habits to this extent."

How $17.2 Million in Gold and Cash Disappeared From Toronto’s Airport
But the mystery person didn’t pull out a gun or otherwise use force to enter the area where the gold and cash were waiting. Instead, the person’s only weapon was a piece of paper. According to Brink’s, the person showed the Air Canada employees in the warehouse a waybill for “an unrelated shipment.”

Brink’s argues that the Air Canada employees made no attempt to check that waybill’s validity and released the gold and cash to the person, who “absconded with the cargo.”

"I realized there are no beaches; it's just a cornfield in the middle of nowhere in the Midwest of America," Do told Insider.

After spending some time researching, Do said she realized Miami University had a good business school. She decided to accept the offer, and she moved from Vietnam to Ohio.
