He has reported on a couple of cases. One the "Manakin" showroom floor model Bronco that got sold by mistake. Another an already owned Corvette that was delivered to a dealership for owner pickup that got sold before the owner came to get it.

Each case shows the true meaning of 'Stealership'.

Was trading in a 2007 Tacoma. NADA value at trade-in was $11,450 but the KBB value was between $8000 and $10000. The dealership where I originally purchased the 07 was the first place I went to trade up. They said the vehicle was between 8K and 10K and generously offered to split the difference with me. 9K$. I had already investigated another dealership - a Toyota dealership who, without knowing I did any investigation, said it was worth 11k45$. When the first place told me 9K I told them to give back my keys in a good loud voice. Got my keys and left. I'll never do business there again.

When I purchased the 07 Taco used, I knew what its value was when purchasing. Was trading in an 02 Chevy S10 pickup. Knew I could get 4K street sale, could expect about 3K trade-in. The salesman said he'd give me 3K. After signing papers to purchase the Taco he came and said "I have some bad news; my manager won't let me give you 3K for the S10." I told him the sale was based on the solid offer of 3K for my trade-in. He said he was going to talk to the manager again. Meanwhile I picked up the keys for the S10 and said to my wife "Lets step outside and get some air." As soon as we stepped out the door he came running saying "I got you the 3K." I should have known right then and there what to expect from that dealership.

I'm happy with my 17 Taco V6. The 07 was a 4 banger manual transmission, with cruise control. Manual and Cruise control ? ? ? I had to install a vacuum gauge to know when the engine was working too hard if on cruise. It was a good truck. A bit under powered, but a good truck. The 17 is absolutely satisfying.

Stealership! Love that new (to me) term.

Eleven soldiers hospitalized at Fort Bliss, Texas, believed they were drinking alcohol on the last day of a 10-day field exercise, but instead ingested antifreeze, according to toxicology tests and an initial inquiry breifed to reporters Friday.
...
It’s unclear how much antifreeze was consumed by each soldier, a group that included one warrant officer, two noncommissioned officers and eight enlisted soldiers.

This will cost the city a few coins.

SOUNDVIEW, the Bronx — A man accused of inappropriately touching an EMS worker responding to a Bronx fire will not be charged because he was the victim of a "false narrative" and was actually suffering from a seizure, District Attorney Darcel Clark said.

On Jan. 28, EMS Chief Lillian Bonsignore said a young, female EMT was flagged down by someone in need of help at the scene of the fire that morning, something Bonsignore said is common for EMS workers.

When she was approached, the woman, 32, was inappropriately grabbed, Bonsignore said. The man was apprehended by NYPD.
The sea of flashing lights got him.
