Hi everyone,

I am working on a project that uses RTC DS3231MZ+ (8 pins). However, the price is exceptionally high (something like U$ 8 or even more), and it is also in shortage.

Does anyone know alternatives for this component?

I appreciate any help you can provide.

The part number is DS3231MZ+TRL.
It does no good to tell the part number, especially with also lacking the manufacturer's name.
It appears to be an integrated circuit of some kind, and if you know the function you need to tell us what the required function is so that we know what sort of substitute may be suitable. Is it an amplifier, regulator, timer, oscillator, or a processor? Or none of those functions? That is information that we need.

So please do not tell us only the part number, AGAIN, that provides no more useful information.

Its a Real Time Clock (RTC)

there are literally hundreds and they all kind of depend on what you need from the rtc. On digikey I see some as low as a dollar a piece. Others more expensive. I don't really know the application so I can't recommend one specifically.

That's just a first quick search on digikey. You'll have to muck about with the parameters to find what you need.

The other option is to look up the part number on you're favorite parts site and all I've used have checkboxes next to the parameters of the part so you can do a search for similar parts to the one you found. I know on digikey you can find the DS3231 and when you scroll down you'll see the check boxes I'm talking about.
