The first step in trying to find a substitute is knowing what you are trying to replace.

So, let's start at the beginning:
What voltage are you trying to regulate?
What output do you need?
What current do you need?

If you need a replacement part, this PD Trigger/Decoy board has one:

But seeing as a whole spool of the regulators is $9.00 I am assuming the $4.45 Trigger/Decoy would seem expensive.

I would guess the regulator outputs 3V3 because the main chip on the Trigger/Decoy is an MCU that takes 3.3V supply.

MCU: F150G8|CE87922|AJ1830

The input to the regulator must tolerate at least 20V, because the USB PD 2.0 and 3.0 standard go up to 20V.
