I am a student pursuing ECE engineering.I want to detect the accident using Vibration Sensor in helmet.After detecting vibration it sends message to the contacts about the accident.
But the problem is Vibration Sensor detects small vibrations which doesn't denote an accident.
Can anyone please suggest me a better alternative for Vibration Sensor??

 

Try an Inertia or Accelerometer sensor.

Interesting project! Gathering the data is the easy bit. The clever part will be in taking the data from the sensors to determine if an accident has occurred. You might need more than just one sensor to determine this, and I'd imagine some algorhythm in your Arduino code.
