Hello,

I'm looking for a smaller alternative to a DPDT relay.
It's going to be used as a switch to connect two USB devices to a single USB-Port of a PiZero or C.H.I.P.
The Devices will be used separately, one at a time.

Heres how my Setup would look like using a DPDT relay:

USB Device A:........USB Device B:........PiZero/C.H.I.P:
+Data = A1.............+Data = B1..............+Data = C1
-Data = A2..............-Data = B2...............-Data = C2
Both devices are powered from a separate source, so only -Data & +Data are connected to the DPDT.
To switch between the devices the relay will be triggered by the GPIOs using python.

(A USB-HUB is not an option because it's not simple enough and oversized.)
A DPDT relay would work but they're huge and I need something really small.

I just don't know how to find what I'm looking for other than asking here, so thank you in advance!

 

Use a miniature relay, search for the Coil voltage rating like this type from a supplier near you.

While shopping for the AGQ20012 I accidentally found the FSUSB40.
It seems to be designed for exactly what I was looking for.


Shipping takes two weeks, I'll come back here as soon as it arrives.
