Hi guys,
I’m a second year student who does electrical engineering.
Currently I’m working on a project which I need a relay to switch positive to negative if needed.
Basically it should automatically figure out if the positive and negative are connected properly if not then it switch the polarity automatically.
I did a lot of research but still couldn’t find anything.
Im going to use this relay to connect a lamp.
Any help and suggestion would be appreciated

Use a bridge rectifier.

And by the way, can you think of a better thread title than "Advise needed"?
The title should give some indication of the content of the thread.

If you MUST use a relay, use one with a DC coil, a DPDT set of contacts and a diode. As an 2nd year engineering student, you should be able to figure out the details. If not, you should consider finding a different major.
