OK, for the most part the "main circuit" is OK, aside from the Fade-On section. Is this the right approach?
The NE555 would be a selectable option that would enable the lamp to turn on or off via an LDR
Would love to figure out how to make couching the Sensing plate override the 555, reverting the device to touch-on, touch-off
The third issue is to figure out how to have a High and Low brightness level...perhaps Low for the dark-activated mode and high for the touch mode.
