Hello
Can someone suggest me actuator principles which can be used to open or close small gap of 0.1 mm to 0.55 mm size variation, also which can be used in ear, so contact with human body. But also with the help of less energy/ battery.
I was already thinking of some options such as piezoelectric actuator or solenoid actuators.
This principle I need in designing of hearing protection device.

Air/liquid/wax expansion?

 

There are some in the market that use a purely mechanical way of doing it. A diaphragm/disc and a spring.
