I know, I was trying to get you to slow down a little but happy you got it working.
Could hang on to the parts and breadboard that circuit for fun.
Question: When the receiver activates the dry contacts, how long do they stay closed?
Curious, how many times a day does the receiver activate those contacts?
Momentary. Various relays per hour. Some places 3 per hour and some 1 time.
Thinking about using the parts with my Arduino project and Robot. May use it to activate different statements under different circumstances. Robot "sees" wall and makes a remark before turning or the "radar" senses some person and makes a statement.
Thank you so much for the help.

OK new situation.
I found out that I can not Fire any audio to PLAY while the USB cable is connected.

I wanted to keep the cable connected for the Operator to "overwrite" the current file with a new one easily. (without human intervention on the USB)
They have had a habit of forgetting to insert SD cards into the current players they have. Or even forgetting to remove the SD from the computer they used to record the audio file from. !! So at that Top of Hour there would be silence and no audio file played.

Is there a way to keep the USB inserted 24/7 and still fire off audio files?

Not sure but can look into this later today.
Great. Thanks. I have a few that can stay Unplugged, because they only have about 7 or 8 total foles to play and they do not Overwrite them except once a year. The container I printed for them has a hole in it for the cable to pass thru and remain plugged into the micro USB, so the USB a end is not plugged into a computer until it is time to update files

Unfortunately I don't see a way to accomplished this.
I believe the module senses when the USB is connected and goes into a download mode.
If permanently connected will always be in the download mode. Can you verify this?

Yep, it is. Oh well, guess they have to Unplug the cable for the Weather to Play. Play 2 times a day, so after they record it, they must unplug. Too bad. The more "hands" on the gear, the more they mess up things. The short USB cable hags out (it is white) and is either plugged into the USB extender cable or not.

Well, thank you for trying. We are further along than a week ago and things work. That is good, in fact, very good

It’s either sensing the poer or the data +/-, you could switch those using the Adruino.

Also, my favorite MP3 player module is this one. The feature set is excellent and it allows for serial control that allows you to do things like make sentences from recorded words or phrases.
