Your ad hoc solution was indeed very clever. It cannot however be accepted as a valid solution.

Why though? Prove it's an invalid solution. Apparently the only valid solution to you is the one you prepared beforehand. My circuit made the LED light and so met your criteria. On top of that you insulted my answer twice saying I should go to law school and that it is a lame effort.

I think it is you sir that are presenting an invalid puzzle if you refuse to accept a valid solution. And if I made a mistake please make it known so I may correct my understanding. Don't be a cherry picker : /

Well you are certainly free to believe whatever you wish. As far as I am concerned your submission just wasn't sufficient. Simple as that...

Ok so I understand: my solution isn't valid because you say it isn't and you are unwilling to present a proof or analysis. I get the feeling you are the type of person who is "always right even when he's wrong". Until proven otherwise, my submission remains uncontested and does not qualify as valid or invalid. You are entitled to your own opinions but not your own facts..

So are you going to wait until we run out of possible solutions before you dazzle us with your brilliance?

Well I would hardly consider myself any more "brilliant" than anyone else if that is what you are implying. (Especially on this forum!) You for example have impressed me on several occasions and in fact I would consider you to be a master of the art. (And yet you neither post an interesting solution nor do you seem to understand the true spirit of the challenge. Oy vey...)

The bottom line is that the proposed solution just seemed too obvious. I am sorry if you disagree with that.

I didn't post an interesting solution because I don't have one.
Anyway the "spirit of the challenge" seems to be to answer a trick question, and I don't care much for those.
