I finally finished reading the thread at ETO. Bottom line: I am so very grateful for this site! You don't realize how good we have it until you've seen one that isn't working.

 

Well of course this site works well now. Most of ETO's top end members came over here.

Surely you know better than that??? To win a battle is one thing. To gloat about it is another thing altogether. I might for example not like a certain person on another Forum...

You will never find me rubbishing that person on other Forums though. No matter who they are..be it a Mod or a simple innocent Member that screwed up.

Not my style. Like I say, I stand taller than my shadow. And I am proud of who I am. And as I restart my Technical help here, I will always stand up for what is good. Always. That's my nature no matter the cost to me.

Please offer my congratulations to Eric on being re-appointed as a Mod on ETO Forum.

Albeit in a Junior Mod role. That is the very least respect he deserves.

As for me, I fought the good fight. Right is right and wrong is wrong.

Right/good always wins in the end. No matter the cost to me.

It's not that exceptional, at least to me. ETO had some troubles and now they seem to start to go away.
In the meantime, just another day in AAC, managing fora and moving posts to where they are more relevant.

In a world where almost everybody is crippled by their emotions and prior habits/beliefs etc you maintain a very high level of logical detatchment and a great ability to separate your personal self from the situation at hand. More so than any other moderator I can remember, on this forum or ETO.

It's a rare skill, you may be part Vulcan.

I've yet to see any moderator with that skill on any forum.

Being separated by thousands of miles and two screens helps as well. Let alone the fact that you can formulate your answer for as long as you like before you post it.

@tvtech.. Why did you ask for a permanent ban from ETO? I thought you liked being part of ETO... Not that I mind you joining AAC, its a good place to be... I'm just getting the hang of it!!

I asked for the ban because I was not happy with the way that things were happening there. But you know, it was all worth it in the end because I see as from now Eric is once again a Full Moderator. Brilliant stuff!!!

This thread started as an auxiliary thread for ETO members to find a neutral ground and organize a revamp of the forum.
Sadly, I see that people are using it to throw mud at each other. This is completely out of line.

If you feel like fighting, take it to PMs where I the moderators can't see you. While we do see you, we will enforce the ToS.

Several posts where moderated.

A piece of advice: When you touch sensitive matters, please spend some extra time to formulate your post precisely. Most of the time fights break out, it's because of misunderstandings.
Also, when you want to talk about someone but don't want to name him, it's better that you don't talk about that person at all.
